Teemu Henrik is a carpenter from Northern Finland, originally from Rovaniemi, who now works and lives in Oulu. Wood is his passion, as he loves the limitless ways to use it. “Wood seems to offer endless opportunities to develop your own skills as well. It motivates you to work", he says. By appreciating the precious raw materials, he strives to minimize the surplus by focusing on efficient design and using the waste as a material for new pieces.
In his own work, Teemu is happy to leave a trace of handicraft. He feels that smooth surfaces and clean shapes bring out the best of wood's own character and appearance, which play a major role in his products. After working days, Teemu spends time with his family. Teemu also enjoys nature in his freetime, by going snowboarding or taking a walk in the forest.
