Meri is a pattern inspired by the sea surface and its horizon, a profoundly present landscape in Finland. Sunrise and sunset rhythm the days and offer a precious, ephemeral light reflection instant. The print design has been drawn by hand, dots by dots, in order to create a vibrant and soft gradient surface, from a deep blue of the sea to a soft colour of the sky’s light.

Designed initially as a tablecloth, the horizon line crosses through the center of the table, serving as a table runner. By sharing moments at the table, the vibrant colour’ surface reminds the preciousness of each instant, and invites people to look at each other, like reflections of themselves on a water surface.
