Laura is a Finnish designer and maker (MA) working in a diverse range of design and art projects. The main focus of her work is on visually detailed, tactile architectural ceramics designed to enrich both private and public spaces. The ideas are formed and the final products are made in her own studio in Helsinki - the prototypes, the initial experiments with forms and materials and the small series of finalized products. In her production she emphasizes quality materials and environment-friendly production. Laura often combines various techniques in her work to find the most intriguing result. At the moment she's intrigued to mix up 3D modelling techniques with traditional ceramic techniques.
