Emmi Vastamäki is a jewelry designer who is currently working in Lahti, Finland. She loves to use especially gemstones in her work. Each stone is unique and examining their colors and patterns inspires Emmi to use them in different ways. What fascinates her the most, is that inside each stone you can see a world of its own. When designing jewellery she likes to focus on simple shapes, accentuating the beauty of the materials. Clear shapes, playful details and colors are her thing. Making jewelry by hand is slow but rewarding process, and she hopes this joy conveys to the wearer as well.
