Illusia vases, peach

Born from the fire and magic of the glassblowing process, these pieces were design to capture the fluidity and etherial nature of hot glass. Like all of Katztudio work each piece is carefully hand crafted. The final unique form of these pieces is created by heating the glass just past the point at which it begins to collapse, and then carefully bringing back from the edge. These pieces are an exploration of what happens when we are pushed outside of our comfort zone, stretched thin and pushed some more. What beauty can be found past the boundaries of failure.
